Softball Recap: Gautier Comes Up Short

Gautier fell victim to East Central and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 last Tuesday.

Gautier's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-9. As for East Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Gautier will venture away from home to take on Stone at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stone will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Gautier surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Central, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Vancleave at 6:30 p.m. East Central's pitchers better be ready for this one: Vancleave has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
