Recap: Diman RVT Bengals vs. West Bridgewater Wildcats
The Diman RVT Bengals''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 42-21 defeat at the hands of West Bridgewater. While losing is never fun, Diman RVT can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 231st, while West Bridgewater is ranked 112th).
When it comes to explaining why Diman RVT lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sam Perry. Despite the final result, he threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Kaidyn Dias, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Diman RVT has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for West Bridgewater, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Diman RVT will head out on the road to face off against King Philip Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. King Philip Regional will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. West Bridgewater will take on South Hadley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
