Volleyball Recap: Elyse Myntti and Delaney Russell Secure Win for Vermilion

Vermilion not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 12, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Bowsher BlueRacers with a sharp 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 25-11.

Vermilion was led to victory by Delaney Russell and Elyse Myntti. Russell had 17 digs and three aces, while Myntti had 15 assists and four aces. Those 15 assists gave Myntti a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Vermilion was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

Vermilion's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Bowsher, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vermilion will head out to take on Open Door Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowsher, they will take on Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
