Emmett is 8-2 against Caldwell since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Huskies are taking a road trip to challenge the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Emmett and seven for Caldwell.

Vallivue hit Emmett with a five-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies lost 11-1 to the Falcons.

Emmett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Sullivan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Caldwell came up short against Bishop Kelly on Tuesday, falling 21-1.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Emmett, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.

Emmett got the 'W' in their previous meeting two weeks ago against Caldwell by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
