Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Beikerson Alvarez and Adeshina Alassani

Lincoln won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They lost 48-24 to the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Raptors are ranked 108th).

Lincoln's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Adeshina Alassani, who posted five points and nine rebounds, and Beikerson Alvarez, who put up seven points. Alassani has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Tong Bot was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Milad Fatah, who earned six points and six assists.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, their record now sits at 3-5.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-31 loss against Denver West on the 10th. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-54 win against DSST: College View on the 10th.
