Basketball Recap: Oswego Finds Playoff Glory Versus Whitesboro

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oswego had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with an 82-74 victory over the Whitesboro Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 83-68 on February 3rd.

Oswego's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Callen, who on his way to 29 points. What's more, Callen also posted a 55% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Noah Bwalya was another key player, to rack up 26 points and six rebounds.

Oswego's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.0 points over those games. As for Whitesboro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Oswego will take on East Syracuse-Minoa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
