After a string of three wins, City View's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 68-54 to the Holliday Eagles. The Mustangs were probably out for revenge after losing 47-46 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

City View's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-8. As for Holliday, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Vernon the next time they take the court. City View will host Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Holliday will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
