Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Altavista). They breezed past the Dan River Wildcats to the tune of 65-14 on Friday. With the Colonels ahead 39-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Although Dan River took the loss, they still got scores from Jamarion Davis and Joshua Richardson.

The win (which was Altavista's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Dan River, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Altavista wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 63-6 win against Chatham on the 10th. As for Dan River, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-16 victory against William Campbell on the 10th.
