Baseball Recap: Avon Takes a Loss

Avon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-2 to the Newark Reds.

Avon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was RJ Gibson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Avon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Newark, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Avon will face off against Caledonia-Mumford at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newark, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-1 loss against Westfield on the 17th.
