Softball Recap: Cary Takes a Loss

Cary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 15-0 to the Pinecrest Patriots. That's two games in a row now that the Imps have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Cary's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Pinecrest, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15.

Cary and Pinecrest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Imps will take on Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (433 vs. 42). Meanwhile, Pinecrest (ranked 331st) will meet Union Pines (ranked 122nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
