Volleyball Recap: Nacogdoches Takes a Loss

Nacogdoches was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rusk Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Rusk scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19.

Nacogdoches' loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Rusk, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

Coming up, Nacogdoches will face off against Tyler at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rusk, they will square off against Malakoff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
