Baseball Recap: Glenn Drops Highest Score of Season Against Cornerstone Charter

It was a proper cat-fight when Glenn challenged Cornerstone Charter on Monday. The Glenn Bobcats walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals. The Bobcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Logan Stump, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Josh Manley also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Glenn and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Cornerstone Charter, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Glenn will venture away from home to challenge Surry Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cornerstone Charter, they will welcome Gilman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
