            Baseball Recap: Justin Garza Guardians vs. Fresno Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Justin Garza). They blew past the Fresno Warriors 10-3 on Wednesday. The Guardians not only won  on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 27, 2024.
 Brycen Dwiggins and  Luke Trukki made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Dwiggins   tossed two innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Trukki   struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits (and only one walk). Those  seven  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. At bat,  Dwiggins  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  Trukki  scored a  run while going 2-for-2. Dwiggins also  hit a  double, marking his first of the season.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Bohden Smith, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Those  two  runs gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Edward Brantley, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Justin Garza  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .515. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Justin Garza's win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 2-8. As for Fresno, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record  this season.
 Justin Garza and Fresno will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Guardians are set to  square off against  their familiar foe Sanger West  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Fresno will  challenge  rival Madera  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday.
