 Greenfield/Northwestern is 4-0 against Griggsville-Perry since March of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers will be playing at home against the Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes at 4:30  p.m. The timing is sure in Greenfield/Northwestern's favor as the  squad sits on three straight wins at home while Griggsville-Perry has been banged up by 15 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
 Even though Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia scored an imposing 11 runs on Tuesday, Greenfield/Northwestern still came out on top. Greenfield/Northwestern sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  12-11  win over Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia. The  victory was just what Greenfield/Northwestern needed coming off of  a  14-4 defeat in their prior  matchup.
  Garrett Costello made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched four innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. Costello was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Kohen Vetter was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.  Brody Reif was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Griggsville-Perry fell victim to a  rough 12-1 loss at the hands of Calhoun  on Wednesday.
 Greenfield/Northwestern now  has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Griggsville-Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
 Greenfield/Northwestern beat Griggsville-Perry 12-9  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023. Does  Greenfield/Northwestern have another victory up their sleeve, or will Griggsville-Perry turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
