Glen Lake took a 19-run defeat the last time they faced off against Cabrini, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lakers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Monarchs 9-7. This was payback for the Lakers, who suffered a 24-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Glen Lake and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Cabrini, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.
