Basketball Preview: Mora Mustangs vs. Ogilvie Lions
Mora and the Lions are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Mora Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Ogilvie Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mora is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Mora ended up a good deal behind the Lions and lost 39-23.
Meanwhile, Ogilvie stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by St. Paul Central on the road to the tune of 81-49. Given Ogilvie's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Minutemen are ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mora's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Ogilvie, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-3.
Mora came up short against the Lions in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 62-51. Can Mora avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
