Cotopaxi had won four straight road games and Joel Tezak did his part to make it five on Wednesday. The Cotopaxi Pirates claimed a resounding 65-14 win over the Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers for which the team can thank Tezak, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Another player making a difference was Justin Howell, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 13 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 40.4% three-point shooting accuracy.

Cotopaxi is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points over those games. Cripple Creek-Victor is on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
