Soccer Recap: Evergreen Comes Up Short

The Evergreen Wolverines came up short against the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks on Saturday and fell 3-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Evergreen came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Marysville-Pilchuck are ranked 220th).

Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evergreen will challenge Highline at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Snohomish at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th.
