South Gibson lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Dyer County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Hornets put the hurt on the Choctaws with a sharp 9-2 victory on Saturday. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

South Gibson is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Dyer County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-8.

As of now, neither South Gibson nor the Choctaws have any future games scheduled.
