Baseball Preview: Mills Vikings vs. Woodside Wildcats        
        
		
            
 Mills is 1-9 against Woodside since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Mills Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Woodside Wildcats at 6:30  p.m. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Mills' pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  1-0  win over Design Tech.
 The team  relied heavily on  Aiden Brown, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases. Another player making a difference was  Joshua Huei, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Woodside scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They walked away with  a   10-7  victory over University. The  win was familiar territory for Woodside who now have three in a row.
  Vincent Vazquez looked comfortable as he  tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Harry Pelzman was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Trent Amoroso, who  went 1-for-4 with a  home run and two  runs.
 Mills' victory  ended  a  six-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-12. As for Woodside, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 13 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-2-1 record  this season.
 Mills came up short against Woodside in their previous matchup  back in March of 2023, falling  5-0. Can Mills avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
