Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Mount Si

After losing to Bellevue the last time they met, Mount Si decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mount Si Wildcats secured a 61-57 W over the Bellevue Wolverines on Friday. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly four points.

Despite the defeat, Bellevue had strong showings from Trinity Palmer-Wilson, who went 5 for 11 en route to 16 points along with seven steals and six rebounds, and Dilynn Johnson, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 21 points. The dominant performance gave Palmer-Wilson a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Athena LaBow, who posted ten points.

The win (which was Mount Si's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Bellevue, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-3 record.

Mount Si has already played their next game, a 63-47 defeat against Garfield on the 20th. As for Bellevue, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-36 victory against Eisenhower on the 20th.
