Volleyball Recap: Vista Ridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Vista Ridge was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sand Creek on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves lost 3-0 to the Rampart Rams on Thursday. The Wolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-11.

Aleyna Tavale paced Vista Ridge's offense, picking up five kills. Tavale got some help from Kiary Tapia Martinez and her nine assists. Shila Ansell controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Gabriella Melecio, who had 13 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times she's played. Marcella Chiriboga was another key player, getting 16 assists and four digs.

Vista Ridge now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Rampart, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Vista Ridge has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Widefield on the 6th. As for Rampart, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Lewis-Palmer on the 9th.
