Volleyball Game Preview: Snow Canyon Warriors vs. Green Canyon Wolves

The Snow Canyon Warriors will square off against the Green Canyon Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Snow Canyon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Stansbury 3-0. The Warriors not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 9th (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 27-25.

Snow Canyon can attribute much of their success to Carleigh Spafford, who had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Spafford has posted since back in September.

Green Canyon had won five straight road games and Elly Giordano did her part to make it six last Thursday. Everything went the Wolves' way against Mountain Crest as they made off with a 3-0 win with plenty of help from Giordano, who had 22 assists. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Green Canyon walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 25-21.

Snow Canyon's record now sits at 11-15. As for Green Canyon, their record is now 21-6.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's contest: Snow Canyon has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10 aces per game. However, it's not like Green Canyon struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11.5 aces.
