Softball Recap: Harding Takes a Loss

Harding lost against Girard back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders lost 12-2 to the Indians. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Harding saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Azarriah Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Phillips is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Harding's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Girard, they moved to 9-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Harding will challenge John F. Kennedy Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Girard, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lakeview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
