Volleyball Recap: Hinsdale Central Comes Up Short

Hinsdale Central lost against Downers Grove North on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

Kasey Quast paced Hinsdale Central's offense, picking up five kills. Quast got some help from Caitlin Leddy and her 14 assists. Callie Degnan controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Hinsdale Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Downers Grove North, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Hinsdale Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Belleville East on the 18th. As for Downers Grove North, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Glenbard West on the 18th.
