Baseball Recap: Dewey Takes a Loss

If Dewey was feeling good fresh off their 15-6 takedown of Pawhuska last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldoggers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs on Monday. The Bulldoggers have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Chase Miller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Dewey's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Lincoln Christian, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

While Dewey had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
