Volleyball Recap: Manual Arts Takes a Loss

Manual Arts lost against Diego Rivera back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Toilers came up short against the Huskies, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-16.

Samantha Lerma paced Manual Arts' offense, picking up seven kills. Lerma got some help from Nataly Guevara and her 11 assists. Lerma was also a major player on defense: she and Isabel Renoj shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with four each.

Manual Arts' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Diego Rivera, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-15 record this season.

Manual Arts will take on Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Diego Rivera, they will challenge Highland at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
