Whale Branch came into Tuesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Hardeeville Canes, posting a 56-14 victory. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Whale Branch was led to victory by Harmony Prejean and Larmore Pryor. Prejean went 10 for 17 on her way to 23 points and seven steals, while Pryor almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Prejean has scored at least a third of Whale Branch's points. Makeima Adams was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Whale Branch's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Hardeeville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whale Branch will welcome Battery Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hardeeville, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Whale Branch on December 21st.
