Volleyball Recap: Fort White Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Fort White was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hamilton County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell just short of the Bell Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Indians have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Fort White actually scored more points across those five sets (118-114), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 16-25, 31-33, 26-24, 15-12.

Canaan Johnson had an outrageously good game for Bell as she had 40 assists and 11 digs. Those 40 assists gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sierra Chatman, who had 17 assists and five digs.

Fort White now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Bell, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Coming up, Fort White will venture away from home to challenge Hawthorne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bell, they will challenge Hilliard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
