Soccer Game Preview: Pasadena vs. Kingwood Park

The Pasadena Eagles will challenge the Kingwood Park Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Pasadena's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They beat Splendora by a goal, winning 1-0.

Meanwhile, Kingwood Park had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it five last Friday. They skirted past the Hornets 2-1. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Hornets are ranked 593rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kingwood Park pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five games. As for Pasadena, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Pasadena beat Kingwood Park 3-1 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Will Pasadena repeat their success, or does Kingwood Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
