There's no place like home for South Johnston, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the North Johnston Panthers on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 back in March.

South Johnston is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Johnston, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.

Looking ahead, South Johnston will venture away from home to take on Smithfield-Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Johnston, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bunn at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th.
