Aubrey Rogers' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Muhammad Yusuf, who scored 16 points, and Sean Peachey who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Dylan Lash was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three blocks.
Golden Gate found their leader in underclassman Sam Powell, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrett Wilson, who scored 12 points.
Aubrey Rogers has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Golden Gate, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Aubrey Rogers will head out on the road to square off against Gateway Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gateway Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Aubrey Rogers likes a good challenge. Golden Gate's road trip will continue as they head out to face Palm Beach Gardens at 1:00 p.m. on January 15th. Palm Beach Gardens is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
