The Central Cambria Red Devils will venture away from home to  face off against the Somerset Eagles  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Central Cambria will be strutting in after a  victory while Somerset will be coming in after a  defeat.
Central Cambria will roll into the  contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven  points  last Friday, then bounced right back against Central  on Friday. The Red Devils came out on top against the Dragons by a score of  32-22. Considering the Red Devils' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

It was another big night for  Ryan Chappell, who rushed for 175 yards and three  TDs. He has become a key player for Central Cambria: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  80  rushing yards, but 0-4 otherwise.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Central Cambria proved: they limited Central to a paltry 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank  Chase Sinosky for the heroic effort on defense: he. The dominant display was nothing new: Central Cambria has now limited their opponent to fewer and fewer yards per carry in three consecutive  matchups.
 Central Cambria didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Brody Makosy and  Jett Williams.
Meanwhile, Somerset was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They were  outmatched by Clearfield and fell  43-14. The Eagles were down  35-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
 Although Somerset took the loss, they still got scores from  Cole Parry and  Carter Dunmyer.
 Central Cambria moved to 3-5 with that  win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Somerset, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Friday's   game might be decided in the trenches. Central Cambria has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 180.6  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Somerset, though, as  they've been averaging  only 53.4  rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
 Everything came up roses for Central Cambria against Somerset in their previous meeting  back in October of 2022, as the  squad secured  a  42-8 victory. In that  contest, the Red Devils amassed a halftime lead of  35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
