Basketball Recap: Stamford Comes Up Short

Stamford has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 55-44 to the Ludlowe Falcons on Friday. The Black Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Ludlowe was led to victory by Kate Cimador and Hayden Mcbean. Cimador posted 33 points, while Mcbean dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds. Cimador is becoming a predictor of Ludlowe's success: when she posts at least 20 points the team is 9-2 (and 2-4 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Gervasi, who put up six points and five assists.

Stamford's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Ludlowe, their record is now 11-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stamford will welcome Notre Dame Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ludlowe, they will host Darien at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
