Baseball Recap: Shenandoah Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Shenandoah won the last time they faced Blackford and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Raiders never let the Bruins get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Blackford's batters probably weren't too happy with Syrus Lee, who pitched a no hitter and racked up eight Ks (he gave up a single walk).

On the hitting side, Shenandoah saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Fredenburg, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Fredenburg is becoming a predictor of the Raiders' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

Shenandoah's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Blackford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Shenandoah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-2 victory against Randolph Southern on the 30th. As for Blackford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-3 win against Madison-Grant on the 30th.
