Softball Recap: Winchester Find Success

Winchester came out on top against Belmont on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Red & Black walked away with an 8-5 win over the Marauders. The Red & Black haven't had any issues with the Marauders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Ella Centurelli, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Anna D'Antonio was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

The win got Winchester back to even at 8-8. As for Belmont, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Winchester will venture away from home to take on Maynard at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Red & Black's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Belmont, they will head out to face off against Bedford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
