Morristown-Hamblen West extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 12-10 in the process. They never let the Jefferson County Patriots get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since April 15th.

As for Jefferson County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-19-1 record this season. Considering the last time they couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

For Jefferson County's part, Olivia Mottern was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the fewest hits Mottern has allowed since back in March.
