Baseball Recap: Carver Birmingham Comes Up Short

Carver Birmingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Parker Thundering Herd, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thundering Herd this season, with their most recent loss being a 20-5 defeat back in February.

Carver Birmingham's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Parker, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Carver Birmingham will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fultondale at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Parker, they will take on Pinson Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Parker's pitchers better be ready for this one: Pinson Valley has averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
