Volleyball Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

Garfield entered their game against Harrison on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Boilermakers fell 2-0 to the Blue Tide. The Boilermakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Tide apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13.

Brayan Andrade was the offensive standout of the match as he had nine digs and three aces.

Garfield's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Harrison, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garfield will venture away from home to take on Old Bridge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Harrison, they will head out to face off against Kearny at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
