Recap: McLane Highlanders vs. Fresno Warriors

The McLane Highlanders were the 59-44 winner over the Fresno Warriors when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. McLane fell 67-56 to Fresno on Tuesday. McLane's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why McLane lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cedric Hughes. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Hughes has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Airian Chourn, who scored nine points.

McLane's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Fresno, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

McLane will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Torres at 6:30 p.m. As for Fresno, they will head out on the road to face off against Hoover at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hoover has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 835 points over their last 11 matchups.
