Football Recap: St. Joseph-Ogden Takes a Loss

St. Joseph-Ogden managed to keep up with Bloomington Central Catholic until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Spartans were beaten by the Saints 67-28. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Saints are ranked 89th).

This is the second loss in a row for St. Joseph-Ogden and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Joseph-Ogden will venture away from home to take on Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Fighting Irish have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pontiac at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
