Softball Recap: Harleton Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

While Harleton's victory against Ore City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Rebels 12-11. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on five straight.

The team relied heavily on Annabelle Green, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Aleigha Hamm also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Harleton's record is now 9-18-1. As for Ore City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Harleton is set to square off against their familiar foe Union Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ore City will take on rival Overton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
