Softball Recap: Coldwater Beats Northwest for Their Fourth Straight Win

Coldwater came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Northwest Mounties by a score of 6-1. While the Cardinals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Coldwater pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Northwest, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
