Baseball Game Preview: Half Moon Bay Cougars vs. Lincoln Mustangs

The Half Moon Bay Cougars will square off against the Lincoln Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Half Moon Bay came up short against Menlo School and fell 8-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost five in a row.

Half Moon Bay saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Lincoln didn't have quite enough to beat Lowell on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nicholas Chiu made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lincoln now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Half Moon Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Half Moon Bay skirted past Lincoln 8-7 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
