Basketball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

Northwestern lost against Wise back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Northwestern Wildcats took a blow against the Wise Pumas, falling 83-47. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Pumas are ranked 18th).

Northwestern has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. The victory was the fourth in a row for Wise, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wise beat Northwestern by a score of 83-47 on Thursday.
