Basketball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Rancho Christian Eagles, falling 71-43. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Valley View this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-19 on January 9th.

Despite the loss, Valley View still got an impressive performance from Kenneth Hutchinson, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points. Noah Grenier was another key player, putting up five points.

Valley View's record now sits at 4-20. As for Rancho Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Valley View has already played their next contest (against Poly), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rancho Christian will welcome Hillcrest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Rancho Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
