Volleyball Recap: Eastbrook Academy Triumphs

Eastbrook Academy won the last time they faced Wayland Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. Eastbrook Academy walked away with a 2-0 win over Wayland Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Eastbrook Academy.

Eastbrook Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wayland Academy to exactly 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why Wayland Academy lost, don't look at Ella Kikkert. Despite the final result, she had 19 assists and two aces. Kikkert is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season.

Eastbrook Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Wayland Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Eastbrook Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Wayland Academy and Faith Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
