Soccer Recap: Sheridan's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Sheridan and Faith Christian squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Sheridan had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Eagles. Sheridan were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the six contests prior), but Faith Christian's defense proved too tough.

Sheridan's goal came courtesy of AVERY HILLS, who's now up to 28 this season.

The loss snapped Sheridan's winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 12-4-1 record. As for Faith Christian, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

Sheridan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Christian, they will square off against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Faith Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
