Soccer Game Preview: Gateway vs. Skyview

The Gateway Olympians will take on the Skyview Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Tuesday, Gateway and Thornton finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Skyview was not quite Overland's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Trailblazers by a score of 2-1. Skyview have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Aaliyah Rivera, who's now up to three this season.

Skyview's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. With that draw, Gateway's record moves to 3-2-3.

Gateway skirted past Skyview 1-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Olympians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
