Given the Wolf Pack's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Matadors are ranked 1017th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, El Capitan has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 23. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Granite Hills on Wednesday.

West Hills' victory bumped their record up to 8-2-3. As for El Capitan, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-5.

West Hills took their win against El Capitan when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Hills since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
